UN – Women
In July 2010, the United Nations General Assembly created UN Women, which is the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. It merges and builds on the important work of four previously distinct parts of the UN system, which focused exclusively on gender equality and women’s empowerment:
- DAW (Division for the Advancement of Women)
- INSTRAW (International Research and Training Institute for the Advancement of Women)
- OSAGI (Office of the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women)
- UNIFEM (United Nations Development Fund for Women)
UN – WomenWatch
Womenwatch is the central gateway to information and resources on the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women throughout the United Nations system, including the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, funds, programmes, specialized agencies, and academic and research institutions.

UNRISD – Gender Dimensions of Development
FAO – Food and Agriculture Organization (Gender)
Provides resources, news and information about publications and projects related to gender and food and agriculture.
The World Bank – Gender and Development
ILO – International Labour Organization (Gender)
IOM – International Organization for Migration (Gender and Migration)
Provides key documents, publications and informations about events and activities related to the Migration and Gender section of the IOM.
