ASEAN

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional organisation of ten countries located in South-East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) which was formed on 8 August 1967.

The ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) was inaugurated in October 2009. The ASEAN Human Rights Declaration was adopted in november 2012.
