Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

The Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library takes part in international interlibrary lending (ILL).
In this context, items are made available as interlibrary loans and copies can be sent via the postal service.

Conditions:

• Have an institutional account by SLSP (please fill out the registration form and notify us for account validation).
• Sign in on Swisscovery IHEID via "without Switch edu-ID". When you log in for the first time, you must reset your account password using the link "Reset password".

Order a book:

• Search the document in Swisscovery IHEID.
• Send an email with:
  • the full reference of the document needed
  • if necessary, the volume(s) needed
  • that you accept our fees (see below)
  • your full shipping address

Order an article or a chapter:

• Search the document in Swisscovery IHEID.
• Send an email with as much information as possible about the desired article or chapter (title, author, page numbers).

Documents are sent within 3 working days (+ postal delays if applicable).

The standard loan term is 28 days. In most cases, documents are automatically renewed 5 times their initial loan term if they are not requested by another person.
